What are some of the no calorie foods?

There is no such thing as an no calorie food. Every food we consume has calories. People who want to lose weight would usually think that such foods exist. And would also assume that you can eat as much as they want. Erm…No, it does not work that way. No calorie foods also known as negative calorie diet is based on the fact that you lose more calories eating and digesting, which does not store calories.

So are there such so called no calorie foods? Well no, but there are foods which are healthy and have low calories in them. Majority of the foods are vegetables. Many people get turned of by the idea that vegetables have to be eaten most of the time, when it comes to weight loss. Fruits and some types of meat can also be eaten as well. Do not limit yourself, head down to the grocery store or mart to get the nutrition facts on the food. Or at least check it out on the net.

Some so called “no calorie foods” in the vege group. Asparagus, Green beans, String beans, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Squash, Tomato, Corn, Cucumbers, Garlic, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Onions, Turnips, Peas, Peppers, Pickles, Pumpkin, Radishes, Shallots, Spinach and etc… . When it comes to fruits there is a better selection of fruit types. Majority of these are well accepted by almost anyone. Apples, Apricots, Blackberries, Blueberries, Cherries, Cranberries, Grapefruit, Grapes, Honeydew melon, Kiwi, Lemons, Limes, Mangoes, Oranges, Papaya, Peaches, Pears, Pineapple, Prunes, Raspberries, Strawberries, Tangerines, Watermelon and etc.. .

But when it comes to “no calorie foods” meat is always not considered. People assume that all types of meat will cause them to put on weight. But if they consider seafood as meat, than they will know better. Food like abalone, crab, catfish, tuna, trout, oysters, terrapin and many more contain less calories.

So what should you do after know about the no calorie foods. Do you want to consume it raw or cooked?. It comes down to your personal taste. Majority of the food types are better for taste if cooked. Needless to say for the meat, that if cooked it would be better. But fruits and veges can be consumed raw. At the end it is still your choice. So usually try to go for cooked food for your three meals. And eat fruits for snacks. The major issue with no calorie foods is that you can be hungry. The fruits can help to fill in than.
