Losing the flab

We do want those unwanted fats to around the abs to be gone. Since it is a common problem in us, David Zinczenko and editor in Men`s health magazine developed an Abs diet in 2004 with a six week plan to reduce the flab and to keep it that way. The diet was initially meant for men but later even the ladies did it. The misconception about the diet is that many thought it was just about the food we eat. Well Abs diet is focuses on 12 types of food and a working out to build up muscles mass. For most of us the part on working out to build up muscle could be a big issue with our busy lifestyle.

The fact is Abs diet was created to provide to the essential vitamins, fiber and minerals to promote good health while it helps to build up muscles that will help to decrease the body`s fat. The diet requires anyone who is doing to at 6 meals a day with proper and comfortable intervals between each meal. Since working out is not really an option for beginners or those with busy schedules we should look into the foods and let your daily activity to help you burn overall body fat.

Abs diet has something called the 12 power foods. The foods will have the core nutritional needs and requirements. How much of it you eat is really up to you and your needs. The problem here is all of us have a difference in the way we eat. So there is a possibility of resorting to calories counting. The Abs diet has a few simple guidelines. One of it is guideline is not to do calorie counting. This is something that is very positive has many who do calories counting end up stopping their diet due to diet fatigue. As far as the abs diet, Zinczenko said that the 12 power foods are energy efficient and helps to take the feeling of hunger away.

The diet itself has one more good point that I think I personally like. It recommends the people to drink smoothie to replace snacks and to curb the hunger. The smoothie can be ready made but make sure the fat content is low. If you are not going to workout it is best to keep carbohydrates and fats at a low level.

Rethink about tasty burgers and fries

Lately there were many new findings about certain types of food having significant impact on the health. Recently, Australian researchers have discovered that high fat meals can cause a sudden increase in inflammation and cause the lung to function poorly. This is something that has a high chance of affecting people with asthma. Most of the time obesity is related to high fat diets. Now you can add asthma to that list.

The research was conducted in the University of Newcastle in Australia. All the participants in the research received a high fat meal. Before the tests the participants had a physical checkup as well as their lung function and Sputum samples. Sputum is a matter that is expelled from the respiratory tract like mucus or phlegm, combined with saliva, which can then be spat from the mouth.

According to American Heart Association suggests that about 25% to 35% of the calorie intakes should come from fats. But the meals that were high in fat contributed more than 50% of calories from fats alone. The high fat meals that were selected where fast food hamburgers and hash browns. Yes, those tasty and delicious foods that are considered bad for your health. As soon as the participants were done with the meal there were given 4 hours of rest period. Than new sputum samples and lung function tests were conducted.

The results showed that the airway had inflammations called neutrophils. There was a sudden increase of the inflammation compared to people who did not have asthma. The participants who had asthma used an inhaler which consisted of albuterol but it did not have the effect that it should after the lung function tests. It seems that this is the first study that had looked at the impact of high fat diet causing the inflammation in the airways.

It is good that they found out about this. I myself had childhood asthma and suffered asthma attacks sometime ago. I know how it feels when such an attack takes place. But this research has really become and eye opener for people with asthma. As asthma patient I did get allot of advises before. Like not smoking, keeping the house clean, take note of allergies which can trigger the asthma attack. Who would have guessed that high fat diets could be responsible as well? Oh no its the fats..

This article is simply dedicated to fats. Usually when fat is talked about it is most of the time related to weight loss and how it causes heart problems. It is known that fats are usually the main cause of the health problems that we are facing today. Sometimes we have to seek various methods get these out. But the thing is many people that I know are usually not understanding that fats are just a form of chemicals and there are good as well as bad ones.

When we talk about the bad fats there are saturated fats and Trans fat. We know that saturated fat is present in allot of food like dairy products and deep fried foods. We cannot totally avoid this fat because it is also something that occurs naturally in tissue. The tissue has a certain ratio of saturated and unsaturated fat. Of course too much of it is a killer. Unlike saturated fat, Trans fat can be avoided if we want to. It is already known fact that Trans fat is a health hazard.

Then the so called good fats Monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fat. Both these fat types come from olive oil and fish oil respectively. Of course there are many more natural sources. These 2 types are considered to be the good guys when it boils down the comparison of the fats. But then there also speculations that these are somewhat related to breast cancer or might cause cancer cells to increase in a patient. There are not confirmations on these speculations.

Either way when we look at it there are some problems regarding when it comes to fats. But then we also can`t avoid or hate it. Fats play a very crucial role in our body. When a pregnant mother doesn`t eat properly her body will release a hormone called hCG to get the fat stored in her to give the unborn child the nutrition it needs. We need to know the 3 types of fat in our body.

The first one is the structural fat. These fats have a function in protecting the organs. Basically, it provides support and acts as cushion to the organs. It also partially plays apart in making the shape and form of your body. Second type of important fat is the normal fat reserve. These fats are basically in the body and are used by the body for your daily energy needs. Now the third one is the one we all do not want to have and gives the bad impression about fats. The dreaded abnormal fat reserves, you usually have these type of fat stored in the buttocks, thighs, chest, upper arms especially at the triceps and oblique. These are responsible also for causing cellulites.

As we all know that extra fats are the reserves, we got to lose it all by changing our metabolism. So there, we need fats but not too much of it.

Losing weight is getting easier and easier

Looks like there is a new type of weight loss method is going to be available to everyone to assist them in losing weight which will be mostly fat loss. The method is called Human Chorionic Gonadotro-phine weight loss program. The program uses a natural hormone that is combined with a low calorie diet. This will result in the body releasing the extra fat stored in the cells of body for energy. Of course, when such a program is available there will be participants. It seems that the people who followed it have lost about 30 to 36kg within two 6 weeks sessions. Sadly, it is not a something that you can do at home with ease. What it means is that, during your initial days when you are on a low calorie diet you will be hungry and tired but after a few days with hCG you will not be tired and not so hungry. Which means you can continue with a low calorie diet much longer and healthily.

But still that does not mean you can just go about eating whatever you want and expect the hCG to work for you. Most of participants got the best results in 6 weeks by only going on low calorie diet. Many have lost more than 10kg in 6 weeks alone. So yes if you do have a busy schedule or you are obese this is a good method to take up on for your weight loss.
